As a Carroll County, MD native, now based in Tallahassee, FL, I have been immersed in music since I can remember. From children's choir in church to clarinet in my local home school youth band to intensive piano and organ studies and concerts at my alma mater and beyond, each musical experience of my career has taught me something new not just about music, but about life and myself. Both my teachers and the music I have studied have taught me patience, diligence, how to express my emotions and ideas, and how to better understand the emotions and ideas of others. I have discovered, through my own ups and downs, that there is incredible joy to be found in the act of making music to the glory of God, and I love to share that joy with my students.

One of the most important lessons a teacher can learn is that each student is different! Students have unique learning styles, progress at different rates, have different abilities, and have their own way of enjoying music. I so enjoy learning about who each of my students are, as people and musicians, and tailoring their lessons to suit their individual needs. I work with musicians of all ages, whether you are five or eighty-five, and all abilities, whether you are working toward a lifelong career in music, or you just want to learn for fun! I am happy to talk with you about your musical goals and how I can serve you - please contact me with any questions!
